Erogenous Zones by Lily Harlem

Oh, I love just the word Erogenous, it fills the mouth up and makes you twist and turn your tongue to say it. And zones, the idea of all these separate, secret places to touch a man, to make him crazy, harder, hotter is so map like, so organised that it would be just plain rude not to explore!

Most of us are familiar with the standard ways to turn a guy on. In erotic romance novels there is always plenty of fondling, licking and sucking of the hero's penis, scrotum, and perineum and more often than not nipples and earlobes are also caressed and nibbled at some point in the story.

But there are other highly sensitive areas on a man’s body which get neglected. Areas which maybe he doesn’t even know are going to do it for him until you hit the spot! Touch these areas in the right way—nuzzle or lick them, brush a fingertip across the skin or use your warm breath—and you might just get a wild, animalistic reaction. Oh, Yeah!

Contrary to this picture, there are lots of lovely hot spots on a man.

Quick science bit!

Erogenous zones are classed as either nonspecific or specific.

Nonspecific zones

In these zones, the skin is similar to normal-haired skin and has the normal high density of nerves and hair follicles. These areas include the sides and back of the neck, the inner arms, the axillae (armpits), sides of the thorax, between the fingers. An exaggerated tickle and anticipatory response are responsible for the heightened sensual response.

Specific zones

Specific zones are associated with sexual response, and include areas of the genitals, notably the foreskin and corona of the glans penis, clitoris, vulva and perianal skin, and lips. The rete ridges of the epithelium are well-formed and more of the nerves are close to the external surface of the skin than in normal-haired skin.

Here’s a closer look at some non-specific zones. (Not really very scientific anymore!)

Oh, the nape of the neck, it’s a wonderful spot whether the hair is long and tussled or short and sharp. The smell, the texture, the way a man can’t help but pay attention when you breathe hotly on his nape and whisper a promise.

Of course some people like being bitten on their neck, receiving a "hickey" to remind them later of the fun they’ve had. Though it would be wise to make sure he hasn’t got a big meeting the next day.

I’m sure there are some men who don’t like this one much but I’d say it was worth a go if you are down there anyway. A little tongue dipping, circling and fluffing through that enticing hair heading south is well worth the effort. Try it and watch his “turn-on meter” crank up to full heat.

Between the fingers

The human hand has a huge amount of nerve endings and the skin between the fingers is especially sensitive because it rarely receives direct stimulation. This means it can be wonderfully tender and responsive. Try tonguing the inter-digital space or caressing it with your own fingertips.

The space between (shower-fresh) toes works the same way!

I’m the first to admit I have a barely controlled armpit fetish going on. This sort of pic drives me wild!

It’s not just how they look; pale skin, wisps of super-soft hair, a sacred little place to nuzzle into. It’s also the texture and smell—again shower fresh is good, but best not to have strong scents masking those delicious pheromones—they are as addictive as any drug!

Enough about me… For a man, touching his armpit is agreeing to a certain degree of vulnerability. What strung-up position do you have him in to be gaining full pit access? Tickle through the hair with your fingertips, kiss and lick his inner arm right to the soft, centre of his pit while your body is sprawled over his. Mmm, fabulous!

So with Valentine’s Day almost upon us it’s time to go hunting out those zones and exploring the reactions you get. As an author I am as guilty as the next writer for not paying enough attention to all the erogenous zones and from now on, I’m going to make sure there’s plenty of finger-play, armpit nuzzling, nape sucking and navel diving! It’s just got to be done!

Thanks so much for having me at Four Strong Women today,

I sometimes wonder if I need therapy for my addiction to armpits - but then I think, no! - I don't want to be cured. Life wouldn't be the same. Hee, hee.

LOL! I hadn't thought about it until your post the other week. Now I know what you mean!

In one of my books I had the couple meeting again at their 20 year high school reunion. They both know where each others' really sensitive places are, since they were each others' firsts. But no one else has ever found those places! So it's rediscovery time for both of them...
Most men also like their nipples to get attention. Personally, I'm a small-of-the-back woman--I love that curve that leads to their butt cheeks! Grrr!

Thanks for all your comments. My resident hunk is also crazy ticklish which is probably why I feel so armpit starved most of the time - although sometimes he wakes up to find me nuzzling!

Woe is me. All this knowledge, and even the hot pics to show it...and nowhere to put the new found facts to use. Sigh.

Very intersting!
